Berzocana is an ideal base from which to make bird-watching trips. As well as being in the heart of the Villuercas' 'ZEPA' (Important Bird Protection Area) it is also near to three other 'ZEPAs' and the 2 natural parks in Extremadura.

     The Eurasian Griffon Vulture and Eurasian Black Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Black Stork, Golden Eagle, Short-toed Eagle, Booted Eagle… are only a small part of the species to be found in this ZEPA.

     We also make trips to the plains where you can observe the Great Bustard and the Crane and also to the Natural Park of Monfragüe which is just 100 km away.

     Other nearby places of interest are: Natural Park of Cornalvo (1 hour), ZEPA Puerto Peña (45 minutes), ZEPA La Serena (1 hour), ZEPA La Siruela (1 hour) and the Sierra Brava water reservoir (40 minutes).
